Our Belief System

We believe competent, objective, financial advice should be accessible to anybody who wants it. People need an advisor who can not only help them make good decisions, but can help them stay on top of the decisions they need to make over the years. By paying consistent attention to the details of their financial lives - over many seasons - this is what makes people financially successful. Our job as your financial planner is to help you consistently make good decisions as your circumstances change.

Almost any article you read on how to select a financial advisor will tell you to look for one with the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. The reason for this is simple; the CFP® marks indicate the advisor you are working with has the four E’s: Education, Examination, Experience, and Ethics.

To be considered a CFP® professional, Michael had to have over three years of work experience delivering financial planning services to clients prior to earning the right to use the CFP® certification trademarks. In addition, he had to pass exams covering the financial planning process, tax planning, employee benefits and retirement planning, estate planning, investment management and insurance followed by the comprehensive CFP® Certification Exam.

Finally, CFP® professionals are bound by the CFP Board’s Standards for Professional Conduct and Code of Ethics. The Rules of Conduct require CFP® professionals to put your interests ahead of their own at all times. In short, CFP® professionals were fiduciaries before acting as a fiduciary became a cool buzz phrase for most other advisors.
